Eugene Flood, Jr.

Eugene Flood, Jr., Ph.D. joined the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Board of Trustees in January 2016. His term concludes on December 31, 2020.

Dr. Flood serves on the Board of Janus Capital Group. Inc., an asset management holding company with approximately $176 billion in assets under management.

He is a former board member of other major asset management firms, including TIAA-CREF and Smith Breeden Associates, Inc., a fixed-income asset manager. He also held leadership roles at both firms.

Dr. Flood has had a distinguished and varied career including 12 years with Morgan Stanley and 5 years as an assistant professor of finance with Stanford University.

Dr. Flood holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University.
